Tú Phương

Over three years building brands for a technology and drone services company.

A strong brand is not what a company says about itself. It is what the company can prove by what it does.

I'm Phương, a Marketing Executive with more than 3 years building brands in B2B technology. I started out running the entire marketing function of an SME on my own, which meant walking a brand through every stage of its journey.

Where I'm going

Within five years I want to be a Brand Manager who thinks in durable strategy, and who uses brand to solve business problems.

Experience

The best part of this journey: even in work I had no prior experience of, taking the initiative, teaching myself and being well led meant I could still take the role on and do it properly.

Built and ran B2B marketing for the technology arm (AGS Technologies): content strategy, multi-channel management, multi-format production, and on through campaigns, events and product communications.

Brand Repositioning

AGS Technologies. From UAV equipment distributor to a brand known for integrated solutions and drone training.

In mid 2024 AGS Technologies changed the purpose of the business: from distributing drone hardware (DJI Enterprise) to delivering integrated UAV solutions and training end to end. The old position, “the first company to supply drone products in Vietnam”, no longer described what the company could do or where it was going.

My role. I owned the whole marketing function, responsible for turning the leadership's business direction into a brand strategy and a complete communications system.

01

Brand recognition

The market knew AGS as a company that sells aircraft, and did not yet recognise the full extent of its UAV solutions and services.

02

Content system

Content was scattered and heavy on specifications, with no unified concept or brand message.

03

Potential customers

Most monthly leads came through the leadership's personal network; the brand's own channels were not yet generating the right Enterprise pipeline.

Channel ecosystem

Channels mapped to the B2B customer journey, each with one role and one consistent message.

Technical content carries a lot of jargon, which makes it hard to take in. The answer was to tier it by audience: YouTube long-form for specialists and technicians, while Reels, TikTok and Facebook carry the same subject in the language of problems and benefits.

Brand Storytelling: when technology tells a human story

The mud and rock flood disaster at Làng Nủ, Lào Cai, 09.2024. AGS Technologies worked alongside local authorities, using drones in search, rescue and disinfectant spraying to support the community's recovery.

My role. I built and ran all of the campaign's content from back of house: taking direction from my manager, briefing the field team on the footage we needed, then writing and editing the long-form YouTube video myself and developing the Facebook posts, Reels and Shorts from material sent back in real time.

01

Tell it through action, not through tragedy

The lens stays on the rescue and disinfection work, and never exploits images of victims

02

People at the centre

The drone appears as a tool serving the community, not a product to be sold

03

Real time and exclusive

Footage from the site takes priority, which keeps it current and keeps it true

04

No sales CTA

No call to action attached to any piece of content in the campaign

What I learned

Viral comes from the right story at the right moment, with exclusive material and a humane act behind it.

The campaign grew into a series of three webinars, “UAVs in disaster prevention and recovery”, turning the project's story into shared expertise.

Tết Flower Streets 2026

AGS Landscape was the lead designer and builder for the Tết 2026 flower street projects across four cities and provinces. The real audience was not only the public but the local authorities, both those who had already commissioned an AGS flower street and those who had not. Each street, communicated well, becomes the case study that persuades the next locality.

My role

I came in at the start of the project and built the communications master file that unified all four: project timeline, production timeline, communications plan, quotes, staffing and budget. I coordinated across parties: PM, marketing, press, television, producers and the outsourced crews.

Content structured around the event's life cycle

Before: teasers, glimpses of the technology and the design inspiration, to build anticipation. During: spreading it, driving check-ins, amplifying what visitors posted. After: the numbers, and the mark AGS left.
